I just put a Pfaff 1222 on layaway and will be picking it up within a couple of weeks. I’m very excited to be getting this, and I’ve been researching them and am glad to find that people, such as yourself, that love their Pfaff machine(s).
Based on my research, my 1222 was the 504th or 505th off53 the assembly line out of 553 machines made on November 20, 1973.
The manual shows the “utility stitch mechanism” buttons have an overlock as the second button down on the left. But mine has a different stitch pattern in that spot, and no overlock, which will be important to me.
Do you know of a source that has these available, along with the workplate (that is missing on mine)?
Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
1222e I purchased many years back, one of the best, mine is loaned to Grand daughter with understanding, it is a loaned item, return when no longer using. This is a workhorse of a machine, when used but not abused. The first machine I purchased new, I took in sewing and alteration in my home, and the machine was a workhorse that never failed me. My alteration experience was priceless without that machine. Okay
